MANAGEMENT POLICY

The aim of UAB “Nilma” is to meet client needs at most by reducing glued/finger jointed timber production costs and sale costs while making the less negative impact to environment and human being

We are striving towards this by:

• increasing amounts of the highest quality production;
• selling all the output in shortest period of time;
• reducing expenses optimizing consumption of raw material, energy and human resources;
• addressing norms of laws and other normative regulations of the Republic of Lithuania;
• improving operation conditions for employees and motivating them to improve qualification;
• developing manufacture process with engineering and management instruments;
• selecting supplies and partners, who increase quality of products and reduce negative impact to environment.

In 2009 glued timber beams were certified in Lithuanian Certification Center of Building Products.

Selection control is carried out and based on production quality requirements, which are defined in company standards. Products are tested in independent laboratory.

In 2002 we implemented management system, which was certified in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

We also give attention to surrounding environment, prevention of pollution and economy of natural resources.

In 2002 we implemented management system, which was certified in compliance with the international standard ISO 14001:1996 requirements.

In 2012 management systems were re-certificated and certificates ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 were renewed untill 2015.

Joint Stock Company “Nilma” in April 2009 was awarded with FSC Chain of Custody Certificate, number SW-COC-004041, trademark license number FSC-C017235. During production we use FSC certified wood, which is derived from responsibly managed forests. Certified in the timber industry JSC “Nilma” supports the management of the forest, which retains important forest wildlife, and ensure safe, healthy and fair conditions for people working in the woods.
